The Shores of Danvelee

Throughout my life I've heard the tale,
A time will come when I must sail.
And cross the angry, seizing sea,
Toward the shores of Danvelee.
In youth it sounds made up, and square,
A lore the old folks tell to scare.

It's a voyage everyone must make,
And the hungry sea won't hesitate,
To get her souls and make them scout,
Each passing boat that journeys out.
Danvelee is where, they say,
All our loved ones go to stay.

Upon the shores of Danvelee,
There lives a city by the sea,
It's where my darling waits for me,
For all eternity.
Where the white sands dip and fold,
There's no disease, no one grows old.
The city harkens unity,
Oh, the shores of Danvelee.

You must stay calm when at the helm,
Don't let the fallen overwhelm.
Ignore the hollers, screams, and cries,
And keep your eyes trained on the prize.
You might just see someone you knew,
Reaching out for you.

One day I know, when I set sail,
I'll fight the waves and punch the gales.
Because I know when I get there.
I'll be back with my dear.
A familiar face across the sea,
Coming home to Danvelee.

Upon the shores of Danvelee,
There lives a city by the sea,
It's where my darling waits for me,
For all eternity.
Where the white sands dip and fold,
There's no disease, no one grows old.
The city harkens unity,
Oh, the shores of Danvelee.
