A Palace By The Sea

I’ve built a palace by the sea,
a place to live for you and me.
A place where sky and land are one,
That is our place beneath the sun.

I pioneered each grain of sand.
I did it with a loving hand.
I carved out columns, engraved arches,
Banquet halls, with daily marches.

Chorus
A world with just us two to live.
And all the more, my heart to give.
I’ve built a palace by the sea.
A place to take you home with me.

I dressed the walls with festive drapes,
Cornice moulding, classic shapes.
A throne that’s laced in gems and gold,
ornate mounds of emeralds.

I’ve built an army brave and strong,
to guard the palace all night long.
I’ll paint you sunsets strong and bright,
I’ll give you shooting stars at night.

Chorus
A world with just us two to live.
And all the more, my heart to give.
I’ve built a palace by the sea.
A place to take you home with me.

Fields of blossoms yellow, red,
lilies, cosmos, and rose beds.
Willow trees to shield our sleep,
Valleys luscious, meadows deep.

Chorus
A world with just us two to live.
And all the more, my heart to give.
I’ve built a palace by the sea.
A place to take you home with me.
