Restless Woman

Restless woman roam the plain.
Travelled through the Port of Spain.
Saw the Mangroves, stopped to gaze,
-mid the heat and sticky haze.
A homeland far beneath her skin.
Dirt and grit within her grin.
Callaced hands and weary eyes.
Restless woman hide your lies.

Chorus
Sailed the blue tides near and far,
-with a jug of whiskey and black cigar.
Hazy stars above her run.
Like ink on paper beneath the sun.

Taverns lit and voices blur.
He pours another glass for her.
His smile's severed right in two.
Weathered eyes of deep sea blue.
Pain and heart ache, chivalry's dead.
Might as well just live on instead,
-amidst the ocean's salty spray.
Restless woman sails away.

Chorus
Sailed the blue tides near and far,
-with a jug of whiskey and black cigar.
Hazy stars above her run.
Like ink on paper beneath the sun.

Restless woman kept her heart.
Locked away in worlds apart.
Where time could not depart its' curse.
Sail on lady write your verse.

Amid a cloudy afternoon.
You might just catch a happy tune.
It's not the wind or howling sea.
It's restless woman, she is me.

Pain and heart ache, chivalry's dead.
Might as well just live on instead,
-amidst the ocean's salty spray.
Restless woman sails away.

Chorus
Sailed the blue tides near and far,
-with a jug of whiskey and black cigar.
Hazy stars above her run.
Like ink on paper beneath the sun.

Restless woman
Restless woman
