Summer
Fireworks that light the sky,
Never asking when or why.
Playing tricks and having treats,
Up and down the empty streets.
Sneaking kisses in the night,
In between the fire light,
Let your parents groan and shout,
Cause that's what summer's all about.
Chorus
Beckon all the young to scream,
The night is young, no time to dream.
Wish on all the stars instead.
Cause we'll all sleep when we are dead.
Something there for everyone,
Long days of laughter, jokes, and fun.
You know you're right where you belong,
Dancing crazy to your song.
Hazy summer, up till dawn,
Racing clear across the lawn.
Midnight movies, sneaking out,
That's what summer's all about.
Chorus
Beckon all the young to scream,
The night is young, no time to dream.
Wish on all the stars instead.
Cause we'll all sleep when we are dead.
Making choices you will doubt,
That's what summer’s all about.
